Shanghai Trains Information

Shanghai railway network provides passengers with an economic and comfortable way to get to other cities. There are 4 main railway stations in Shanghai which are Shanghai Train Station, Shanghai South Railway Station, Shanghai West Railway Station and Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. Daily trains departing from and to many destinations throughout China including Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin, Kunming and Guangzhou are available and provide convenient transportation for tourists. A train journey from Shanghai to Beijing takes only 10 hours by bullet D Train and 2 more hours by Z train.

The high speed trains between Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi, Nanjing and Hangzhou narrow the city distance within limited 1-3 hours.

There are tourist trains from Shanghai to other scenic areas such as Mt. Huangshan in Anhui Province, Mt Wuyishan in Fujian Province and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan Province.

In addition, there are trains running between Shanghai and Kowloon in Hong Kong.
